Newell Water System Improvement

Client: Newell Count Water District, Newell County, California

Project: Construction of new 100,000-gallon water storage tank, replacement of selected water mains, reconditioning of existing wells, and installation of water meters.

Responsibilities: Hammond Engineering's responsibilities included engineering planning, design, and construction management. This included replacing 30,423 LF of various sized water mains, reconditioning/replacing 3 well pump meters, correcting the wiring /lighting in the storage tanks as well as the water main, repairing pump number 2 and installing a chlorination system in that pump, and repairing and repainting the existing water storage tanks.
