Water System
Client: Grenada Sanitary District, California Project: This formerly privately-owned water system was very old, had no adequately sized water mains, no storage, and the water well was improperly constructed. The Grenada Sanitary District purchased the system and obtained loan and grant funding from the California Department of Water Resources and grant funds from the California Community Development Block Grant to fund the project. The new system
consists of a new
community well with pump house and related appurtenances, 6,000 feet of
pump
line to the new 275,000 gallon welded steel water storage tank
located
on a
hilltop, 6,800 feet of 10” transmission main, and 9,500 feet of
6”
distribution
mains with fire hydrants, air release valves, blowoffs, and water
main
service
assemblies
